We are all just a bunch of talking heads 18plusssss – seriously

We are all just a bunch of talking heads.

Once a talking head began to write:

Wait, wait for the moment to come
Stand up, stand up and take my hand
Believe, believe in mystery
Love love love love is simple as 1-2-3

I’m a know-it-all, I’m smartest man around
That’s right, you learn real fast through the smartest girl in town
Here come a riddle, here come a clue
If you were really smart, you’d know what to do
When…

Talking heads and hands.

Jump back, sit back, get back, relax
It’s ok
I’ve called in sick I won’t go to
Work today
I’d rather be with the
One I love
I neglect my duties, I be in trouble but

I’ve been to college, I’ve been to school
I’ve met the people that you read about in books
Here come a riddle, here come a clue
If you were really smart you’d know what to do when I say
Jet pilot gone out of control, ship captain on the ground
Stock broker make a bad investment when love has come to town

Where, where is my common sense?
How…did I get in a jam like this?
Believe, I believe in mystery
Love, love love love is simple as 1-2-3

Here come a riddle, here come a clue
If you were really smart, you’d know what to do when I say
Why am I going out of my head, whenever you’re around?
The answer is obvious, love has come to town

  1. I recently saw a film at the Vancouver Film festival called “Absolute Wilson“. It’s about the life of Robert Wilson who is a creator of experimental dance productions. He has a very long list of accomplishments including a project with Tom Waits and William S Burroughs – Black Rider.

In the film David Byrne is interviewed talking of his work with Robert Wilson. It seems that both Byrne and Wilson are best known for their work done in the past. It turns out that their both alive and well and still producing substantial works.

I suspect that if either one of them saw your drawings they would be intrigued by your efforts. You’re all in really great company.

  2. I’m most moved by how the whole works together. Neither is the same without the other. Like two side of a coin they are join in juxtaposition, elegant and simple, lovely and real, real real.

  3. Dee – that looks pretty cool! Thanks for sharing your discoveries. Just the cover art of Black Rider is intriguing me. Yum!

Liz – Yes, they could be two sides of a coin… heads or tails 😉 I’m sitting here peering at them wondering why I adjusted the hues of orange and green…

real real, real – I like that!

  4. Mr. Angry – nice to see you here :) What would be cool would be to get the pages in the photo to virtually turn. Thank you for stopping by.

range – i must admit, men seem drawn to the second photo most of all 😉

  5. You know, I had to go back and look at the second photo again to work out what you meant in replying to range. It was just abstract to me – what an innocent mind I have :)
