The help Jessica get out of debt birthday event – no purchase necessary

There are three of me at any given time. Photos taken last night just at the stroke of midnight using photobooth.

Today I am 33 years old. As the day progresses, I will list 33 things in this post. If there is something you want to know about me simply ask me in the comments. Don’t be shy! Seriously. 😉

  1. From Bridgett Walther, my favorite astrologer, the Scorpio forcast for November 8: You feel almost as if you’re back to square one this morning, and wonder if you’ve been spinning your wheels or if others haven’t been paying attention. Mercury remains retro in your sign. This is far from fatal but does have a way of forcing one to revisit one’s expectations, timing, etc. A financial matter continues to weigh very heavily on your mind, but can be satisfactorily resolved within the next couple weeks, so don’t panic. In the meantime, count on your most trusted experts and advisers for direction and advice.
  2. I watched the sunrise this morning. It was beautiful.
  3. Breakfast today was a marmelade and crunchy peanut butter spread on Oat & Nut with Honey Bread.
  4. Ugly Ad.Funniest google ad from Sitemeter. Image shown is just a screen capture.
  5. My favorite number is 3. I like odd numbers more than even ones.
  6. Until the end of this year, you could sponsor this site for UPDATE $25 $99 (I honestly had to adjust this price to reflect my/the times. In the coming year this price will take effect) a month through Performancing. Go and ask Dee how he likes it here 😉 And a big thank you to Dee for being my first sponsor!
  7. My two favorite porn sites. This may offend some people. Be warned these two sites are 18+ only, ask your mom or ask your dad before clicking through to XNXX or StileProject. Stile Project on the weekends offers some feature length film downloads in WMV format for FREE. muahahahahahhahaahaaa!
  8. The Mushroom's Rhyme - written and illustrated by Jessica DoyleI am overcoming a fear of selling my artwork for money. As odd as it may read, there lingers intrinsically built into me that… that just wants to share it. All of it. I am working in LuLu readying a pdf release of The Mushroom’s Rhyme. I want it out there. Fear BE GONE. poof! UPDATE – it is uploaded, however the cover is not appearing properly yet *scratches head*. UPDATE It works NOW!
  9. I’m re-considering having written #7, =^.^=
  10. I’m none too sure about my programming skills but I know enough to be formatting this list. My site does not validate. Nope. I do the best I can. :)
  11. Naps are good.
  12. I have been blogging since March 18, 2006.
  13. Two places I would like to live; Venice, Italy and Ireland.
  14. Two places I would like to visit; Japan and Brazil
  15. I have never owned a car. I have been licensed to drive a motor vehicle since age 17.
  16. I do not own a cell phone. Never have.
  17. I recently switched to using widgets in my sidebar.
  18. At the local clothing optional beach and The ball is under control have been uploaded to Flickr. The preview of the latter is visable further down in the sidebar on this site.
  19. This interview with David Moose of the Ontario Gallery of Art on the Gnostic World of Candy Minx is as fabulous as it was informative to read. The discussion afterwards in the comments I highly recommend reading also.
  20. This is the most comments I have ever had on one post. I want it to be my birthday everyday! Well no. Thanks to everyone who is stopping by.
  21. My pink eyed man just left to go buy some wine and ciders. I do have the occassional drink.
  22. …and yes I am still sober off of GHB since August of 2005. :)
  23. An emailed horoscope from my mom this evening. It reads a little different than number 1 of this list. What do you think?

Born today, you are a highly creative individual, but you are prone to behavior and activities that may prove, at times, rather self-destructive. When you are engaged in such activities, you tend to be rather inattentive to your own safety or well-being, which can certainly aggravate the situation considerably. When you are on a roll, you can be counted on to be positive and productive; when you are not, you may well prove a disappointment to others as well as yourself. Your own determination, however, can keep you from staying down for long; you always recover.

You have great longevity, and, when you choose to stick with something through thick and thin, you are a formidable adversary -and you can prove quite effective in the political arena. Of course, you are one of those rare individuals who will almost always speak true.

This is a good day to take a chance — but you’ll want to calculate as best as you can every possible outcome. Err on the side of safety.

  24. Scrabble is my favorite board game.
  25. I cut my own hair.
  26. I wear my boyfriends yellow plastic raincoat that his mother baught for him while he was in boyscouts at age 12. It fits me mighty fine and is a much needed item of clothing when you live in Vancouver, BC during the winter.
  27. Blog I miss most.
  28. Birthday wish. Only, if you believe I deserve it.
  29. The Blogging Times just got a kick-ass new look! Woot!!! Minic it is looking wonderful!
  30. I’m always in my barefeet at home
  31. It began in Afrika
  32. I was 32 years old yesterday
  33. That’s it. I’m off to molest my crippled boyfriend who is laying on the couch.

Night all! Thanks for celebrating with me.

Someone, an un-named one emailed me the site PinkWorld as another Porn site to look at as an addition to number seven on this list. Honestly it was not as good as the other two. It could use some basic CSS styling. The dark yellow on pink is not legible enough. One bonus was this; it has very minimal unobtrusive ads.

And another someone thought I deserved it in number 28. Thanks.

  1. David – I will be lighting a cigarette and thus smoking it while intermittedly sipping on pepsi. Then I have images to upload to Flickr, LuLu, and Etsy…

  2. Lynn – Thank you. I used a piece of software called Photobooth that comes with MacOSX. The central pic is grayscale. The two side pics in pink tones was using a filter called glow built right into Photobooth. I lined the three photos up in Adobe Photoshop ona white background. The central pic I set the transparency to hard light in the layers palette. Then I flattenned the layers and saved for web. :)

  3. Hi Mike – I grew up in a family of nappers. It was not unheard of for us all to be napping in various comfy locations throughout the house in late afternoon or mid-evening.

Anniversary of life – I like that :)

  4. Sorry I’m late. I was totally out of it today.
    Horrible migraine.

Happy Birthday sweetie! I hope you are blessed with much love and good healthy. Now and always.

  5. Naps are glorious. My dad used to tell me when I was 100, I would only be 40 because I would have slept the other 60 years of my life. It seems to have worked for making me look young. For 88, I’m holding up!

    Happy Birthday Jessica!!

  6. Bonita – I love the

    much love and good healthy

😉 It made me chuckle. Hope your migraine subsides soon. *hug*

Liz – LOL! thank you for the B-day wishes :) 88 eh? I thaught you were much much younger decades younger… your spirit is youthful. I will continue to hold onto youth in my mind whilst my body naps.

  7. The ad gave me a good laugh. And number 7 was quite bold – good on you. Here’s a question – how many hours a week do you think you spend on blogging, flickr, lulu etc?

  8. Mr Angry – good question – honestly 40 + hours a week. That figure would include illustration, drawing, writing in general and just being an artist consumes me most days in my daily life. I like it like that though and wouldn’t change a thing. If I were working for a company again, I would being working the same hours if not more. It was not uncommon for me to be put in a 60 – 70 hour work week back to back to back. I don’t want to do that again.

This is my new adventure. I really enjoy what I’m doing here and that is why I keep doing it.

Yeah I questioned number 7… my relatives are turning in their graves right now. 😉

  9. Well, well Jess – I’ve tried calling you and sending email messages with not even a peep from you – I guess this is as good as it’s going to get for this busy day that is the day of your birth.

I just wanted to give you a little warmth, a few squeezes and perhaps a kiss on the back of your neck. You really deserve so much more but it’s what I have for you today.

Please oh please get in touch when you can – I have a super cool idea that I think will be fun and rewarding in many ways for the both of us.

    Talk to you soon…

  10. My 33rd birthday was a historic event for me back in 1996 .. that’s when I started counting backwards for my age. Now .. I’m only 23 years old and finally at the age that I mentally feel like I should be! (opposed to what my body was telling me)

    Happy Birthday~

  11. Congrats on the b’day Jessica, love your Blog! May you have many more happy and wonderful b’day 😀

How do you work w/o a cellphone!

Sorry I’m late for the party, but I brought lots of ice cream and cookies.

I couldn’t blog all day yesterday my computer was a mess onlinem sorry.

I loved your list, very funny. And I enjoyed getting to know more about you, lots of fun.

Hope you have lots of birthday wishes and they all come true and have a good celebration!

  13. Aww, missed it! Stupid work-things…

    Happy birthday, Jessica! 😀

I hope your day has been great. You deserve it. Actually, everyone deserves a great birthday, but right now you deserve it even more.

  14. Hart – backwards Birthday counting. Hmmm dependent on how long one lives one could get into the negatives. People would be celebrating being -5 years of age. Then one could start counting upwards again and maybe be re-born. 😉

Minic – thanks for the B-day wishes.

  15. TechZ – thank you :) Yes, I have no cell-phone. My boyfriend and I rigged our phone up to work through the net. It’s not skype but that might be the next step we take. It is so much cheaper this way. There are times though when i wish i had one :(

  16. Candy – fashionably late with cookies and cream Yum! The list was fun to make – he he. I had a very good celebration thx.

TDH – stupid work things eh?

I hope your day has been great. You deserve it. Actually, everyone deserves a great birthday, but right now you deserve it even more.

    Thank you.

  17. I’m late as well, happy birthday. I used to spend as much time as you every week, but I cut down to about 5. I don’t have any more time, though I would like to.

#7, well. I stopped reading stileproject after stile put all those porn ads up.

Check this out, we have been living in a foreign country for about 2 months without a phone. Without a computer as well.

Anyways, happy b-day and hope you have the best year of your life this year! And each year after that, even better!

  18. range – Stile I find though is still decent once one learns which is an ad and which isn’t :) Wow on living without a phone and computer. I can go without a phone for sure but a computer I start to get a little wiggy.

Rodrigo – Thanks, i liked the UGLY ad too. LOL

Robert – thx, Glad you liked the list! :)

  19. You illiterate free-loader, you cannot see the sun set and rise simultaneously.
Simultaneously means “at the same time”.
Maybe you should use some of that free time to learn how to write. Suggestion: Try schools, they do that.
Maybe tou should use some of that free time learning how to put coherent thoughts together. It is called “thought patterns”.
Maybe you should make this the birthday when Humility entered your life.
    Here is hoping.
