Candy Minx – Nice to see you again. Really. I remember you.

Tell me about it. I’m right there with you my friend from Victoria. Honestly.

Life is good. The muse is fine and I’ll be by to hi in time.

I see chicken feet, and along with the title and content of your piece I can’t help but thinking “the chicken or the egg?”

  • http://jessicadoyle.ca jessicadoyle

Scott – chicken feet? LOL. When I look at this drawing now I see chicken feet. I’m always open to new interpretations of my drawings Scott and this is one of the most interesting. Indeed.

I feel kinda awkward.. because I guess that I also feel a little awkward when someone interprets my drawings in a direction that I hadn’t envisaged. To me it feels like they are seeing stuff beyond or alien to what I drew – something of there own, and not something that I drew. I don’t know if that’s just a stage and you work through that, or if I just have a fatal personality flaw.

Anyways, at the risk of further offending you dear Jessica (which I hope I wont), I sat and looked at Conception more, keeping in mind my initial impressions…

    Brace yourself.

Now in addition to chicken feet, I see a rooster’s comb, and an egg with a yolk inside…

Yes yes, you may forbid me from coming here ever again. I wouldn’t blame you. But in my own weird sort of way the whole thing blends in with the Conception title to your image. The upper “figure” is a rooster. The lower is a hen. They are joined in a fragile union. I can see I am not making this any better, I should just quit while I am behind and hope that I haven’t ruined our own piece for you!

Nice. I also see chicken parts, but as part of a whole mutant style chicken.

Oh noes! I have created a monster!

Scott – Interpretation of art is a (inter)personal and individual thing. I’m glad you see chicken feet, I see a rooster’s comb, and an egg with a yolk inside. This makes me laugh. I did my job as an artist. All I can do is laugh! My family was laughing to when they read your description above. LOL!

Bravo to you for be blunt and honest!

trollboy – Mutant Teenage Ninja Chicken!

Scott – You are in no way banned. You are welcome to leave as many comments on my artwork as you wish. I encourage you to write freely here. May the mutations begin!

I had wanted to respond earlier but alas had been working and could only read and giggle.
