I am I will I shouda coulda and ALWAYS read the fine ART print within posts when it is about WORDPRESS

UPDATE

WE CAN LINK to our ETSY SHOPS from within POSTS!!!! YAY!!!
Thank you Toni

Yes, with the change of seasons comes a change in health. It seems I get struck first by the 24 hour vomit flu and now the going on 96 hour sinus, sore throat, congestion cough cold headache kill me super bug illness. To top it off I have a beautiful blasted cold sore growing on my lower left lip again.

In other news, I’ve purchased an archival printer. Let the bells ring out and the angels sing!

Glicée Prints are available in my Art Shop as of today! More will come as the healthier days commence.

You can get to my art shop in one of ONLY two ways from this blog as WordPress.com has rules about linking to paying sites such as an art shop. You can click on over to my about page or you can click the link found in the upper left navigation menu.

And for the record I don’t only blog because I have an Art Shop. I blog because I love it. It’s another medium for me to bend at whim. To quote what I wrote in 2006 over at the Blog Herald:

Blogging is like opening up a new pack of crayons at age six. It is an artist’s medium; as Letraset is to Mac, hand journaling is to blogging. This new form of journaling; recording information in real time, has struck a chord with me. The sound of tapping keys makes me happy. I have been creating for nearly 30 years but have not shared much of what I have created, learned, understood and for that matter not understood with anyone save for friends and family. This medium grants me a way to create anew and recreate my past artistic endeavors.

And it still does today!

I do wish I could link to my art shop from within posts every now and then here on WordPress… please?…

…and without fear of being banished!

I am sick.
I will get better.
I shoulda taken echinacea.
I coulda
but
I
didn’t.

NEW archival printer on my desk!

  1. Toni – you’ve made my day!!! Woot! No, you’ve made my year! Thank you so much for pointing me to the updated Do’s and don’t's.

This particular point is relevant to me:

Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (”Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). To be clear, examples like people writing original book or movie reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category.

Thank you again! I don’t need to hide anymore :)

  2. Rahul – slowly but surely I’m feeling better. They say 7 to 10 days for a cold. I’m going on five now, maybe six.

Thanks for the well wishes ;)

  3. Hey thats an awesome printer. Congrats!!

Get well soon… so do u have running nose too ???
Do you blow your nose quite often and remove slimy substance from it ?

Would love to see another drawing or post describing the color, feel and smell of your nosy….

  4. Mr. Brutus,

Take this comment as a warning and refrain from being rude and demanding on MY blog. Your comments over the last little while have become just so.

Continue, and I will ban you.

  5. Hey Jessica,

You have got it all wrong. I am so sorry and I didn’t mean to be rude or offensive at all.

I had mentioned it casually…(with reference to one of your earlier post “It was brown. It stunk. And it hurt.”)…. No offense intended, seriously.

Once again I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience caused and I really didn’t mean to be rude or something.

  6. Thank u so much Jessica. I feel relieved now… Going forward, I will be with in my limits while commenting on your blog/posts, and will not get emotionally carried away.

Tx once again. You indeed are a fab artist…

  7. BrutusEmotion is what it’s all about eh? I got carried away to. If no one ever got carried away in life, life would become mundane. haha!

Glad to have you around again. Cheers!

  8. Yes, they changed things a couple of months back but haven’t made a big announcement for fear of being inundated with “buy my guaranteed herbal viagra and ask about joining a growing company” crap. I hope you make some good sales.

  9. I have just discovered your blog and can’t pull myself away. Love it! Love your humour, your art and your writing….and crazy comments. Drat, the family wants their breakfast and there’s so much I want to read here.

  10. Congratulations on your printer, Jessica. I am green with envy. I’d like to ask you what brand of scanner you use (if you do use one), and/or which you would recommend?

Anyway..I hope you’ve fully recovered. That 24 hour flu thing is horrendous. I just got over it myself.

    Be well, and happy printing!

    ~Lisa

  11. lisamarina – I was using an Agfa Snapscan e50 for about 10 years unitl very recently when it seems to not want to work quite as well as it did. I’ve been using another Canon Scanner lately that my mom is letting me use until I can save enough for another Agfa.

Glad you got over the flu to!!!

    Nice to meet you.

  12. Thanks for the info, Jessica. I have an old ScanCraft by Canon. Ok, not old…it’s ancient! But a workhorse. It’s served me well, but I have a feeling it’s not long for this world. I’ll make a note of the Agfa Scanner. Thanks! (nice to meet you, too.)
