Spring Tree of life illustration by artist Jessica Doyle

Size - 8″ by 8″
Medium - India ink and Windsor and Newton Watercolor on Arches Cold press watercolor paper.

Artist Statement - Ever wonder what a tree would look like without leaves or blossoms growing on one side? The new baby foliage on this tree faces the other way, giving good reason to believe the grass IS greener on the other side. Or in this behind the seasons look, Spring IS sprung on the other side.

Spring is the second watercolor in the four seasons series. The Winter painting is beautiful to.

The sun has been shining these last few days here in the city. You have no idea what it feels like to have heat on your skin after 6 months of being couped up inside freezing. Well, winter is not that bad. But Spring sure does feel that good!

The original Spring painting has since sold. It is however available as a glicée print in my art shop.

Thank you.

UpdateSpring was featured on Monkey Bun’s Etsy Pics!!! Thank you Krystal.
