This may sound odd, but this painting makes me think of caterpillars; that is to say the trunk and roots are reminiscent of the wrinkly little bodies of small larval stage moths, and the strange appendages they sometimes sport, I believe to impress all the other teenage larva nearby – like the caterpillar version of Chucks.

I admire all you have overcome and your honesty about your life…I think there are few people who can be so open. Andrew Cool! I remember when i was about 9 years old the city i live in was infested with caterpillars. A plague of sorts or Army Worms. they weren’t so pretty. But every now and then a little green and yellow caterpillar would stand out amongst the brown army.

Kels – Glad you feel better. One way I keep on going is through writing and creating art. It keeps me sane, well maybe… It does keep me busy and away from drugs. I am alive and happy to be so.
