  1. This may sound odd, but this painting makes me think of caterpillars; that is to say the trunk and roots are reminiscent of the wrinkly little bodies of small larval stage moths, and the strange appendages they sometimes sport, I believe to impress all the other teenage larva nearby – like the caterpillar version of Chucks.

Anyway, I love this. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Jessica…I came across your blog a few days ago and have been exploring your art and your story. I admire all you have overcome and your honesty about your life…I think there are few people who can be so open. You have put some things into perspective for me as I have been having a hard time which I have just realized really isn’t that “hard”. Your artwork is beautiful…thanks for the inspiration. If it is ok I’d like to link to your blog.

  3. Andrew Cool! I remember when i was about 9 years old the city i live in was infested with caterpillars. A plague of sorts or Army Worms. they weren’t so pretty. But every now and then a little green and yellow caterpillar would stand out amongst the brown army.

    Thanks for liking my art.

  4. Kels – Glad you feel better. One way I keep on going is through writing and creating art. It keeps me sane, well maybe… It does keep me busy and away from drugs. I am alive and happy to be so.

    Nice to meet you!!!
