Series of pussy willows drawing illustrations by artist jessica doyle

I love Spring. Life in general seems easier. No more snow to shovel. It’s finally melting by the way. Trees begin to blossom and flourish giving birth to new ideas, adventures and it all just makes me happy.

Each original Pussy Willow drawing was created with india ink, sepia hued ink and opaque white ink on various cardstock that I house in the studio.

It’s amazing how using the same technique and colours on various papers yields a different effect and result each time.

Each can be found and purchased in print format and also a few of the original drawings are still available for purchase in my Art Shop. Simply do a search for “Pussy Willow” once there to bring up the both the originals and prints.

Happy Spring Everyone!

Good timing with these Jessica. I felt my first pussywilows of the year on my lips yesterday, I LOVE the feeling of that. Here on the west coast we are supposed to get 5-10cm of snow today. Winter doesn’t want to let go yet.

I like the new work. The different paper does make for interesting differences between the pieces.

peace,
harold

Hi Harold… we are experiencing a bit of bad weather tonight. Shouldn’t amount to much though.

Thanks about the pussy willows. I’m enjoying the experimentation on various paper. The neat thing is I used the same ink on all papers and they did indeed yield a different end result each time. It’ll be another month or so before pussy willows make their appearance here. Until then I wait :)
