Magical acorn drawing created in ink by artist jessica doyle (faber castell and pilot pens on strathmore paper)

I drew this magical acorn a few weeks ago when the leaves were still brilliantly coloured and hanging on the trees here in Saint John, NB. They have since fallen to the ground and certainly do crunch under ones feet.

Using Faber Castell Pitt Artist pens in both black and sanguin I drew the body of the acorn and with opaque white ink Pilot pens highlighted little details. The paper is Strathmore flower petal paper. The final piece in real life measures 4 1/8 by 8 1/2 inches (10,4cm by 21,5cm). It’s priced at $54 for the original drawing and is listed for sale in my art shop.

Hope you like it! Cheers!
