My friend Candice has a new blog up.
Immediately, you”ll be sucked into her journey and love affair with all things metal, rusted and shiny! Go and read her introductory post In the Beginning.
She chose A little dude flying a multi winged floating boat hauling a big fish out of the salty water which can be seen here in it’s original story of glory!
Thank you everyone who entered and for the lovely comments. Wow!
There was a bit of confusion with people entering on different posts, emailing me their entries and entering after the closing date due to the fact that I had forgotten to close comments this Sunday. You were all entered into the draw just the same Normally, I blog, posting more than once per week and the contest post would be pushed down the page a wee bit. Last week I only posted that post… so it stayed up front and center.
Expect another contest sometime next month.
So after unsuccessfully contacting the first name drawn I did get through to the second name I drew.
In other news another contest on another blog. RavenX of Dirty Pretty Things to Ponder asked if I would do an interview with her. I said yes. As part of the interview I am giving away a print of Sexy Red Toes.
You can enter here to win.
…no one as of yet. I sent an email to the winner of Mother Goose is Loose last night and a second one this afternoon with no response back on either email. I stipulated within the second email to respond back within 36 hours or I will be drawing another name. So you all may have another chance at winning this print.
And a note for future giveaways on this blog… I’ll give 48 hours for the winner to respond back to me once they are notified. If I don’t hear back within that time frame I will draw another name from the comments received. Check your email people.
I’ll keep you all posted and thank you to everyone who entered.
To do the Censored Art draw I wrote out the number’s 1 through 16 which represented the 16 commenters and drew one out of a glass. I am a day late announcing the winner as I’ve been away from a computer most of the weekend only now being able to sit down and write this out.
Congratulations Betty!!! Your two ACEO’s will be mailed to Alabama Monday morning.
Thanks to everyone who entered. Cheers!
Darren is arriving today. He began his journey in Vancouver and is slowly making his way across the country. Well, to the Maritimes that is. His first stop was Toronto, then Moncton and downwards to Saint John (me) and onwards up to Fredericton.
I can’t wait to see him. We attended the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design together from 1992 to 1996. We’ve been friends ever since. Upon my arrival in Vancouver four years ago I lived with him in Gastown until getting settled into my own place.
Darren blogs at Deezone. He’s a fabulous claymation artist. Go and watch him make things move! And don’t forget to check out Beautiful Puppet Agony, an ongoing project of his inspired by none other than the infamous Beautiful Agony.
Here is a sample of Darren and also Junko’s creative clay work. It’s been viewed 137000 times!
Last year I did some voice over work for Darren for his ongoing Porcelaine Philosopher Project, which you can listen to. One of them is called You don’t get paid to be nice. There are three other recordings there of mine. They are unscripted and of my own words. Enjoy!
He’ll be staying with me for two or three days. I’m so excited! I wish I had today off work. I work a 3:00PM to 11:00PM shift. I do however, have both Saturday and Sunday off. Haha!
Pollinate With a Bug measures 2.5 by 3.5 inches.
Pollinate with a Bug is the third ACEO I have created and pictured with a Canadian penny for size reference. It is signed, numbered (003) and dated on the back. The first miniature illustration, entitled 20000 Leaugues Under the Sea can be seen here and the second ACEO, Brown eyed Fossil, here.
This is an original NOT a print.
Pollinate With a Bug is painted with Windsor & Newton Watercolour and inked using both a green and black Sakura 005 Micron Pen on Heavy Cold Press Watercolour Stock. All materials used in this original are of the best artist quality.
I have more to say about it being my Birthday. Much more actually but must turn into bed and get up in
6.5 6 hours, go to work, then come home, eat and after that I’ll say what I gotta say. AND gosh darnit it’s good!
The paragraph below describes my feelings today, and rather well I might say. Bridgett Walther must be reading my mind. In the least she is one heluva(n) astrologer.
For November 9: At first blush this morning, you might feel a bit woozy or out of your league. That blurry feeling passes pretty quickly. In fact, by mid morning, you’re back in the saddle and ready to declare yourself the new sheriff in town. Although that declaration might be a touch premature, your growing feelings of confidence are absolutely justified. You’re beginning to experience the glimmer of coming into your own power and worth. And just think: it’s only going to get better during the next couple weeks!
Yesterday was a lot of fun. I never had so many people come by to say hi on my site before. Thank you all for the Birthday wishes.
As busy as I was online I was busy offline yesterday. My family called to wish me the best on the phone for an hour. A few friends came by on and off throughout the day to say Happy Birthday and bringing with them some cheer. My email inbox had some interesting e-greetings in it that made me laugh. And sadly… Eric and I were too pooped and fell asleep before we had a chance to…
On another note seeing as I am an adult of 33 years of age now. The other day I noticed over on girlspoke the other day an 18+ sign. I clicked it and was greeted with some terms and conditions. I am strongly leaning towards adding an 18+ sign to this site as well.
I am an adult. This site is written by an adult. Therefore it is an adult site.
I am woman. Hear me
ROAR! write! 😉
I am open to discussion about this 18+ rating. What are your thoughts on the manner? Do you feel it is necessary or for that matter legally needed?
