Just a note to say that the above are the shipping deadlines for ordering art from my shop if you want your order to arrive in time for Christmas. And sadly, postal delays that are beyond my control do happen even when I get the packages to the post office on time. About 3% of orders that I ship out arrive much later than anticipated due to being held up in customs or other undetermined reasons. BUT all orders I’ve shipped out DO arrive to their final destination.
I can ship XpressPost or PriorityPost via CanadaPost if you miss these deadlines. You can contact me for the applicable rates on Etsy or by the email located in the sidebar on this blog. And conversely, I can upgrade you to XpressPost or PriorityPost if you want your order faster than the following times taken from my shop policies page on Etsy:
Canada – 3 days to 2 weeks
USA – 3 to 6 weeks (have yet to figure out why it is slow)
Europe – 2 to 4 weeks
Asia – 2 to 6 weeks
Australia – 2 to 6 weeks
All other international destinations – 2 to 6 weeks
(Average to everywhere other than Canada is about 9 days to 3 weeks. And there is that 3% that arrive in 5 to 6 weeks for some unknown reason. Please keep in mind that if your order is late that it will arrive. OK?)
All orders are shipped First Class Regular mail for flat items and Expedited or Small Parcel for larger 3 dimensional objects from New Brunswick, Canada. Shipping this way keeps costs lower for the both of us. If you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Early in December 2007 I did an international cross-country boundaries artist pen trade with Shane Vorhaben.
He sent me Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens that I couldn’t and still can’t buy here as I live in a very small city. I sent him Pilot G-tec C4 pens that he can’t purchase in the United States. As I have later found out, the Pilot G-tec C4’s are not available in the United States at ALL, anywhere! Can you believe that? Only in the UK, Japan and Canada. Even then, Canada does not have the plethora of colors available elsewhere. They are my favorite drawing pens next to Microns and now, Pitt pens.
I have a container devoted ONLY to non-toxic pens and markers.
Sadly my Pitt pens have almost run out! I’ve drawn them to a dry ink death. ‘Tis time to make that inaugural purchase from an online source.
Along with the pens we mailed each other unfinished *ACEO’s that we each will be collaborating on. After they are complete we’ll each keep one and mail the other back as we each sent two to each other.
I just did another ACEO trade in January 2008 with an artist in Germany named AKA oparthamburg.
There is no time limit or rather date of completion on these trades.
They will not be drawn until the final drips…
*ACEO – Art Cards, Editions and Originals. Must be 2.5″ by 3.5″.

Today I will be small. Today I am humble. Today I am thinking good thoughts. I am thinking sad thoughts of what came before today. I see these sad thoughts through a screen today. This screen is a mail sorter. This mail sorter is the sorter of memories. He can encircle a memory numerous ways using the screens. The screens are emotions associated with a single memory.
There is a special screen which allows her to see herself in the memory… as though she is looking at herself within the memory.
She evolves into third person.
