Recently a customer asked if there were alternative sets of prints available in the shop and if so could I put a few together for her. Well this particular idea stuck! Continue reading

What they say,
The premise of Etsy is simple; items are mostly handmade, and the shopping experience is like Ebay minus the bidding aspect. Artisans craft everything from paintings to ceramics to ornaments, and sell them on this site, handling the shipping themselves…”
They placed an image of the Sassy Sea Urchin within the article writing,
Back in September writer, Helen Racanelli contacted me, and at first I thought “this isn’t real”. After some research and writing back and forth a few times I realized pretty fast that it was indeed real.
Thank you Helen. I am humbled to be mentioned in such a beautiful magazine.

I’ll be drawing the winner and contacting them tonight.
This week I am giving away…
Mother Goose is Loose Creating Fairytales Everywhere!
Last time I gave away a Four Seasons Print.
The rules are simple
Leave your name, blog address (if you have one), and email (which I will not share) and comment on this post once only please. Next Tuesday I will randomly draw one name from the comments and mail you Mother Goose is Loose.
About Mother Goose is Loose
This print that I am giving away is a second. I had been wondering what to do with the beautiful reproductions that print out crooked, are a tad to bright or too dark, or I goofed up on cutting to small. Needless to say they exist in my studio. And I don’t believe in throwing them away. There is nothing wrong with these prints, except that they are seconds and don’t meet the standard I have in place for retailing at the regular price. Just as a potter has seconds so to does an artist. In the Fall I’ll be listing seconds for sale in my shop. Keep an eye out for those listings.
The print you will receive measures 7 3/8 by 7 3/8 inches rather than the 8×8 inch version I sell. The printed image size is 7×7 inches (same as the one I sell) and the color quality is identical. I will sign and date the back of this print and mark it as a second. Sooooo….
What if I WIN?
On that note, if you win I will contact you by the secret email you left here. I will need you to email me back with your accurate physical mailing address that will never be shared. I will ship worldwide for free! I’ll announce the winner publicly next Monday. Comments will close Monday, June 30, 2008 at 12:00AM AST.
… and What if I Don’t Win?
And if you don’t win the print, it is available for purchase in my Art shop.
I have art to give away to you, my readers and friends.
UPDATE The contest is now closed. No more entries will be accepted. I’ll announce the randomly drawn winner tomorrow :). Thanks everyone.
The rules are simple
Leave your name, blog address (if you have one), and email (which I will not share) and comment on this post once only please. Next Saturday I will randomly draw one name from the comments and mail you Censored by Banana and his female counterpart, Censorship by Flower.
About the Bananas
They are prints of the original miniature drawings. The originals were drawn on acid free textured cream colored card stock using my favorite Pilot pens. You should go and read the comments left on Flickr for these. I’m still laughing!
I print and hand cut all my prints. They were printed with gorgeous Vivera Inks on heavy 170gm2 matte photo paper. They are crisp, clean and will last for generations to come. They will be safely placed into an acid free rigid sleeve and packaged into an unbending mailer for shipping.
An ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals. They always measure 2.5″ by 3.5″ and can be created in any medium. They are the exact size of a hockey, Magic or baseball card. Mat them and place into your favorite 5″ by 7″ or 8″ by 10″ frame.

Artist Statement – Ever wonder what a tree would look like without leaves or blossoms growing on one side? The new baby foliage on this tree faces the other way, giving good reason to believe the grass IS greener on the other side. Or in this behind the seasons look, Spring IS sprung on the other side.
Spring is the second watercolor in the four seasons series. The Winter painting is beautiful to.
The sun has been shining these last few days here in the city. You have no idea what it feels like to have heat on your skin after 6 months of being couped up inside freezing. Well, winter is not that bad. But Spring sure does feel that good!
The original Spring painting has since sold. It is however available as a glicée print in my art shop.
Update – Spring was featured on Monkey Bun’s Etsy Pics!!! Thank you Krystal.
