On silliness, smiles and the pursuit of happniess

Is it as hard as taking that first step into the unknown or is it as easy as risking everything for something substantial. These nights I find myself pondering questions, seeking answers and challenging myself all in the pursuit happiness.

I don’t smile anymore when I’m not happy nor will I make small talk when in a fowl mood. Why? Because it’s fake. I believe in honesty. I’m not saying I’ll jump down your throat when you smile and say hello but I may not respond with the same enthusiasm you have per say.

A smile needs to be genuine. A smile needs to be trusted. A smile needs to show your character. When created in truth a smile is pure soul. Nothing less. Nothing more. It is integral that we as human beings become aware of realism.

Don’t you get tired of TV? Of all that shit the politicians smile saying will be better someday. Now I’m laughing. Silly politicians.

Reality is it’s freezing outside here tonight. Reality is exhaustion from working 10 to 12 hour days, seven days a week. Reality is a beloved family member is terribly sick. Reality is keeping in check what is real and throwing away what is not.

Jesus knows…

Jesus knows

…how to get the demons out.

How to get the Demons Out

There is a tropical Storm Named Noel traversing the Maritimes right now. I hijacked a camera and began clicking a few images of myself and seeing as I have not published ANY NEW photos to this blog of myself (in a year perhaps) I thought I would. The two above stood out from the rest. If you were looking for a nice smile the one below is best. :)

Going out the door

I went out the door and have since, come back from acupuncture.

On my way home an old disheveled man sitting under an overpass going into Chinatown said as I smiled with him walking by,

“There is no beginning and there is no end.”
“God is inside of me, and outside there.” he frantically waved his hands around himself.
“He’s everywhere”

I stopped. I listened. I said “I agree with you. He is in me and he’s in there” as I stomped on the ground with my right foot. He laughed and said “true”. I began to walk away smiling. A genuine smile. The man yelled “thank you, I love you!” I smiled saying thank you and walked on.

How come when I’m at my lowest, there is always an angel who understands. Of all the people I passed and looked at, this one person, I genuinely smiled with rather than, at.
